Experience matters when it comes to personal injury, family law and divorce, real estate, general litigation, and estate law in Utah. That’s why the legal professionals at Henriksen & Henriksen are proud to be a third-generation owned and operated law firm, helping people and businesses in Salt Lake City, Sandy, Draper, Holladay, Davis County, and the state of Utah with their legal needs for over 60 years.

A Legal Tradition Half a Century in the Making

Clarence Richard Henriksen, the son of Scandinavian immigrants, graduated law school at the University of Utah in 1950. Over the next 14 years, he worked hard and saved his money to buy a small building at 320 South 500 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. There, he would begin a legal legacy that would be passed down from generation to generation, influencing the area’s leading legal professionals and institutions for years to come.

As a Utah attorney, Richard Sr.’s career is among the most distinguished in the state’s history. He earned the respect of his peers as a Salt Lake City accident attorney and trial lawyer. He became the founding member of the Utah Trial Lawyers Association (known today as the Utah Association for Justice). He also served as a member of the governing board of the American Association for Justice.

In his 50 years of service to the community as a leading personal injury lawyer in Utah, Richard Sr. helped thousands of people to obtain the compensation they needed and deserved. Among his peers he is considered to have been a master trial lawyer as well as a valued mentor and teacher.

Continuing the Henriksen Tradition

In 1979, C. Richard Henriksen, the son of Henriksen Sr., graduated from the same law school as his father. He then joined his father’s practice and worked side by side with Henriksen Sr., until his father’s retirement.

Robert M. Henriksen Continues the Tradition

Richard Jr.’s son, Robert M. Henriksen joined the practice in in 2006, establishing the third generation of Henriksen’s to practice law through the office established by Henriksen Sr, 42 years earlier.

What sets Henriksen & Henriksen apart from other Utah law firms is personal attention. We aren’t a big law firm with countless attorneys who may not remember you name. We continue the tradition of respect, personal attention, tenacity, and integrity that began with Clarence in 1950.
