Our Law Firm - The Beginning
In 1950, Clarence Richard Henriksen, Sr., the son of Scandinavian immigrants, graduated from law school at the University of Utah and began practicing. In 1964, he bought a small building at 320 South 500 East. In this building, he started a legacy that would continue to influence all who associated with him.
Richard Sr. went on to have a distinguished career. As an experienced trial lawyer, he was the original founder of the Utah Trial Lawyers Association (now known as Utah Association for Justice). For twenty-five years he was also a member of the governing board of the American Association for Justice (formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America - the largest organization of trial lawyers in the United States).
In his fifty years of practice, he assisted thousands of individuals to receive just and full compensation. He was a master trial lawyer, teacher and mentor.
The Tradition Continues
In 1979, Richard Sr.'s son, C. Richard Henriksen, Jr. graduated from the law school at the University of Utah. He joined the practice and until Richard Sr. retired, the two worked side by side, serving the community—their friends and family.
In 2006, Richard Jr.'s son, Robert M. Henriksen, joined the practice after graduating cum laude from law school. He now manages the firm.
Today, our attorneys continue to lead Henriksen & Henriksen, just as it began years ago.
